The Bud Replacement Ear Protection Provisioning System or “BREPPS” was invented over three years ago after I lost my little “foam” ear bud covers for the gazillionth time. After doing a little research, I found that I was not the only one experiencing this issue, but many people had the same exact problem. I knew something must be done. With sore ears and mounting frustration, I embarked upon a solution to ensure I would never lose my ear phone covers again.

I felt that if the covers were like a little “sock”, it would be hard for them to fall off. Armed with a needle, some thread, and an old glove, I fashioned the very first prototype in my garage that same night. I placed it over my ear bud headsets and put it in my ear…it worked! It was at that moment that BREPPieS were born.

Since that time, the original design and concept has not changed materially, but the look, feel and most of all, the uses for Breppies has. Over the last couple of years we have seen many companies add color to their ear buds to create a sense of individuality, but no one has provided you the ability to change your colors at a moments notice, depending on what you are wearing or the type of mood you are in. We felt that you should have the ability to do this without having to purchase an expensive pair of after-market ear phones.
